'SOLO EXHIBITION' in the works

I've always talked about showcasing my drawings, but never seemed to do it. Maybe i wasn't confident enough for the public to see my art or maybe i didn't have enough body of work that is good enough to be displayed. I guess there are many factors as in why my paintings aren't out there by now, but if i can honestly say... it is because i haven't yet discovered my trademark style. See... all my favorite artists who i idolize have their own unique styles. From Sam Flores female characters with the closed eyes & overgrown hands to Munk One's illustrated zombie like paintings. Or like Sylvia Ji's women of beauty with feminine tattoo markings to David Choe's raw rugged but delicate paintings. Each of em are significantly different to each others work & posses a certain unique trademark that symbolizes their own traits.

After quitting my graphic designing career, i turned to what i have always done best. Illustrating & Painting. Although through my years of designing.. i still did a few creative artwork then & there, but i still need to hone my skills in order to gain my creative brain back. I have been developing my style... & it wasn't something came by force rather it came to me naturally. I knew it's my trademark because it was something i feel really comfortable, relaxed & truly creative.

Today my skills are sharpened & it is on the rise. I am proud to announce that i am ready to show my work after a year back on track doing what i was doing since i was 4.

Converse 'MoonWalk'

What can i say...! As a Chuck Taylor fan.. I would definitely be the first in my hood to get one if these babies were to be released.

Mugg Series T-Shirts

Here it is... a sample shirt from my 'Mugg Series' artwork. Pictured is the
"The Aggressor" & there is 2 more characters that will make it on the shirts.
There will be more of my art printed on shirts. As i am new to this industry.. hopefully in time.. my work will reach far beyond where i can one day see my work being viewed by others around the world.

'MASK DEEP'

One of my current paintings am working on. We all wear a mask in our everyday lives that portrays all kinds of emotions, but to reveal what's underneath is our own secret as we can never show it in public. Some people pretend to be happy... some lie about themselves, but to show our true emotions is something we tend to keep deep within. This painting of a woman casually ripping off her mask as the stretched skin represents the hardness of revealing the true emotion we tend to keep. It is the struggle of oneself to be real. The more you hide your real face the more the mask will permanently stick on top of the surface.

"Markers"

I love 'black'. What better way to use these markers to get that dark thick outline on a drawing. POSCA markers are definitely my favorite to go.
